Mandibular growth

At the treatment planning stage for a growing individual, it is necessary to estimate the likely quantity and direction of mandibular growth, and hence projected changes in 'B' point. Generally low-angle cases show more favorable change in 'B' point than average-angle or high-angle cases (Fig. 7.33). More favorable late mandibular growth can be expected in growing boys than in girls.14
